Reducing the Onset of Diabetes
I learnt something new today about preventing diabetes, now in the past I have occasionally been tested for diabetes and always assumed that if I avoided eating sweet things I would be ok.
Now I have discovered that building muscles can reduce the onset of diabetes Building some muscle can cut your odds of prediabetes (last step before the real thing), by 12% or more, Having more muscle means these muscle cell will consume more blood sugars, so building bulk in the form of muscle rather than fat will reduce the chances of contracting diabetes Muscle building does not mean you have to join a gym, you can do simple exercises at home such as push ups and sit ups which can increase your muscles by 25% in a matter of a few weeks and convert fat into leaner healthier muscle.
According to the Data from the 2011 National Diabetes Fact Sheet, diabetes effects 8.3% of the population of the USA as opposed to 5% in the Uk. It is expected that by 2030 some 438 Million people worldwide will be effected. The rate of increase is appalling, but one only has to look around you at the growing numbers of obese people to see that these predictions are true.
People need to improve their diet and take more exercise if they want to remain healthy.
